Over Tuesday night, Israel launched an air strike killing Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut, Lebanon. This came hours before the assassination of Hamas’s political leader, Ismail Haniyeh, in Iran, for which the Palestinian group has blamed Israel.
Hezbollah confirmed Shukr’s death in the air strike on Wednesday night, a day after Israel has claimed it had killed the Hezbollah leader.
