Speak on political issues; it's your right

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has called on traditional leaders across the country to have a say in Ghana’s political landscape.

Dr Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, emphasised the critical role that chiefs play in shaping the nation, highlighting the importance of their voices being heard on national issues.

During a meeting with the Nungua Traditional Council in Accra, NAPO urged the electorate in the area to consider voting for the NPP and Dr Mahamudu Bawumia in the December polls.

He stressed that traditional rulers have the right to speak on national matters, as they are also agents of development.

He further stated that chiefs played a vital role in the fight for the country's independence and, as such, should not be barred from expressing their opinions on political issues.
