Skills acquisition boosts growth, says FAMF

The training was held at the Ikota Primary School, Lekki-Epe Expressway.

“Ever since the incorporation of FAMF, the NGO has become a beacon of hope, dedicated to uplifting communities and transforming lives through empowerment, education, and skill training. Today marks a significant milestone for our foundation as we embark on our inaugural skill training program aimed at empowering individuals to become self-employed and break the chains of poverty.

“We have chosen to focus on empowerment because we believe that giving individuals the tools and knowledge to create sustainable livelihoods is the key to building a brighter future for all. By investing in people and providing them with the skills they need to succeed, we are not just offering a temporary solution but paving the way for long-term prosperity.”

Secretary General of FAMF. Amaka Ezechukwu, revealed that over 300 people from Badagry, Ketu, Mowe, Shomolu, Lekki, and the Eti Osa and Ikota communities were trained in various skills, including makeup, adire tie-dye, and soap making.

She added that they were given provisions after the training.
