Prof. David Asamoah elected KNUST Pro Vice-Chancellor

Professor David Asamoah has been elected as the new Pro Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

Following polls by senior members of the University on Tuesday September 17, 2024, Prof. Asamoah secured 436 votes out of the 918 ballots cast.

He was in competition with Professor Charles Frimpong of the Department of Industrial Arts and the Civil Engineering Department’s Professor (Mrs.) Helen Michelle Korkor Essandoh.

Professor Frimpong managed to garner 296 votes as Prof. (Mrs.) Essandoh came third with 186 votes.

However, the two leading candidates will be presented to the University council for consideration pursuant to the University’s election statutes for Pro Vice-chancellorship.
