Ho, Aug. 23, GNA – Dr Archibald Yao Letsa, Volta Regional Minister, has underscored the importance of the Peace Council in promoting peace and security in the region.
He noted that the Peace Council had been instrumental in the region’s peace and security architecture.
Dr Letsa was speaking when officials of the British High Commission paid a courtesy call to him in Ho.
He said the Peace Council had helped resolve issues and other related concerns of which, other stakeholders had also helped to stabilise the security of the region.
The officials include Mr Dominic Howell, Political Counselor, Ms Aneesa Islam, the first Secretary-Elections and Mr Cecil A. Sampson, the Political Officer.
