Mariam Bolaji gave Nigeria the second win in badminton by outclassing India’s Mandeep Kaur 2-0 (21-8, 21-14) in the women’s singles SL3 in Group B.
Nigeria suffered a second loss in table tennis, with the duo of Victor Farinloye and Kayode Alabi succumbing 2-0 (11-9, 11-5, 11-8) to Chinese foes Peng Weinan and Huang Jiaxin in the men’s doubles MD14 Round of 16.
The Paralympics Games, which flagged off on Wednesday, August 28 with a colourful opening ceremony, run through September 8, with 4,463 athletes featuring in 549 events in 22 sports.
