Oti Region: Social Welfare Director urges PWDs to prioritize peace over political gain

Dambai (O/R) Oct 08, GNA- Mr. Innocent Komla Agbolosu, the Regional Director of Social Welfare has sounded a warning to Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) against being exploited for political gain, particularly during the upcoming 2024 elections.

Mr. Agbolosu emphasized that peace is paramount to Ghana’s well-being, superseding any politician’s personal ambitions in an engagement with PWDs.

He urged PWDs to resist being used as tools for political power, instead advocating for their empowerment and inclusive participation in the electoral process.

“In Ghana, we have nowhere else to go if conflict erupts, let’s live in peace,” Mr. Agbolosu urged, especially PWDs.

He encouraged them to promote understanding and respect for suffering opinions, engage in constructive dialogue and support peaceful initiatives during, before and after the December polls.
