Osimhen rejects €70m Saudi move

Osimhen has a litany of clubs in the Saudi Pro League willing to break the bank to sign him, but the Nigeria international has so far overlooked such overtures, looking to continue his football in Europe, preferably the English Premier League.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that the 25-year-old and his agent outrightly rejected the Saudi move on Monday due to issues bothering on salary and release clause.

The striker, who has been training separately from the Napoli squad, may still move before the transfer window closes.

His agent, Calenda, confirmed his client’s decision on Monday. In a statement posted on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), emphasising that Osimhen has no plans to leave Europe at this stage.

“Osimhen is a Napoli player with a contract recently renewed with mutual satisfaction. He made history, and when there were major offers (also this year), we always accepted the club’s decisions,” Calenda wrote.
