Oliver Barker-Vormawor arrested over Democracy Hub protest

Oliver Barker-Vormawor, the leader of the Democracy Hub, has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service in connection with the recent protests organised by the group in Accra.

The protests, which resulted in roadblocks and the obstruction of traffic at key intersections, led to heightened tensions between the demonstrators and law enforcement.

Barker-Vormawor, a key figure in the movement, was taken into custody after the police announced that it was on a manhunt for him.

Already, some 42 persons were arrested at Sunday's protest and are expected to be put before the court.

The third day of the protest today, Monday was uneventful as the streets were almost empty despite heavy police presence.
