NITDA unveils initiative to tackle infrastructure gaps

NITDA explained that the competition would empower innovators to develop digital maps that highlight critical infrastructure in Nigerian states, including hospitals, schools, roads, and utilities.

According to the agency, the maps will provide valuable insights to foster development across various sectors.

“The 2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge aims to harness the power of technology and innovation to address critical infrastructure challenges in Nigeria.

“Participants will collaborate in teams to create innovative digital maps of one Nigerian state, highlighting critical infrastructure such as hospitals, schools, roads, and utilities. These maps will provide insights that can drive sustainable development across Nigeria,” the agency said.

The competition is open to Nigerian citizens, with participants required to be 18 years of age or older and form teams of 2 to 5 members.
