NIGCOMSAT, Betalife to bridge healthcare gaps in rural areas

Egerton-Idehen disclosed the partnership was part of NIGCOMSAT’s accelerator programme, which supports startups like Betalife that are driving innovation in critical sectors.

She wrote, “They are the link between the supply and demand of blood products. NIGCOMSAT, using our connectivity, ensures this happens no matter where the demand or supply is, ensuring inclusion so citizens in remote, rural areas can also access their blood bank services.”

Betalife’s platform aims to optimise blood inventory levels, streamline distribution logistics, and enhance donor engagement, addressing critical challenges in the healthcare sector.

“Their solution leverages artificial intelligence to revolutionise blood supply management in Africa. Think of it as a blood bank that can find you no matter where you are in the country.

“They provide timely access to blood products, a key element in reducing deaths in some scenarios,” Egerton-Idehen wrote.
