Nderi lifts Golden 50s title

Seasoned golfer Martin Nderi clinched the Golden 50s golf title after a successful run at the Kenya Railway Golf Club course on Sunday.

Playing off a handicap of 17, Nderi scored 41 stableford points, outperforming the 222 participants in the tournament consisting mostly of 50 and 60 years old members.

The tournament took place over the weekend with several winners crowned.

On Friday, George Kirathe, playing off handicap 13, returned a score of 4-under-68 to win, followed by Stanley Karanja, who came in second with 71 nett, while Onassis Ndegwa, playing off handicap 3, won the Gross prize with 81 gross points.
