MBH Power generates nine megawatts of electricity with CNG

Mahapatra spoke recently when he received the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, at the MBH meter factory in the Mowe area of Ogun State.

According to Mahapatra, the energy firm has also provided solar solutions for customers in Lagos, saying it has installed a one-MW solar plant through its subsidiary company in India.

The director told the minister that MBH Power was a total energy solution-providing company, established in 2000 in Nigeria, having ventured into generation, transmission, metering and renewables.

Since 2003, the company was said to have handled over 40 substation projects owned by the Transmission Company of Nigeria, saying all were completed.

“In the year 2010, we started our CNG operation, where we generate power from gas. We have our piped gas supply in Ikorodu, so we fill our high-pressure CNG in a skid and transport it to Lekki. Through a pressure reduction station and gas generator, we produce power for multiple factories in Lekki. We have installed capacity of 7MW in Lekki and 2MW in Ikorodu, fully functional,” he stated.
