Let's work to attain 75% of Akuapem North votes

The New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate for the Akuapem North constituency, Sammi Awuku, has called on party supporters to intensify their efforts to attain 75 percent of the vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

He emphasised that achieving this goal would solidify the NPP's dominance and significantly advance the party's agenda of breaking the eight-year governance cycle, a feat never achieved in the Fourth Republic of Ghana.

Addressing participants at the 'Mega Ofie Walk' held at the Mampong Coronation Park on Saturday, August 3, 2024, Mr. Awuku underscored the significance of the target goal, stressing that its attainment would ensure total victory for the NPP when combined with similar polls in other constituencies in the Eastern Region and beyond.

Mr. Awuku noted that the party secured 65% of the popular vote in the 2020 elections with former candidate Dokuah Asiamah Agyei and urged the crowd to build on this success by working diligently to surpass it and strengthen the NPP's position against the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

"With your support, we can build on our achievements and make the path to breaking the eight-year governance cycle clearer and more achievable," he stated.
