Political Science lecturer, Dr Kwame Asah-Asante
Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Kwame Asah-Asante, has urged Ghanaians not to glorify politicians but to hold them accountable for unfulfilled promises.
According to him, politicians who fail to deliver on their commitments should be voted out.
Dr Asah-Asante's comments were made in response to the recurring pattern of unfulfilled promises by politicians, particularly during election periods.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM's Newsnight on Monday, August 19, he said there should be public engagement to question the politicians on how they intend to fund the promises being made to bring to the understanding of the ordinary Ghanaian.
