Kiambu Golf Club’s Michael Karanga was at it again this time extending his muscles to be crowned the 2024 Malindi Open Champion at the par 70 Malindi Golf and Country Club in Kilifi County on Sunday.

The Golfer who is the event’s defending Champion continued stamping his authority as the top leading Amateurs to retain the Vasco Da Gama cup after rounding up the three days 54 holes thrilling tourney on a total of 221 gross.

Karanga started off on Friday in a slow note with two birdies, ten level pars and mixed bogey shots to close the day on a four over par 74 gross for a second place behind the day one leader John Lejirma of Kenya Railways.

He came back on the second day fully energized, sinking five birdies, leveling eight pars and mixed bogey shots on the rest of the 18 holes to claim the day’s lead on a four par 74 gross.
