Kaduna PDP elects ex-commissioner as chairman

Thousands of party delegates participated in the election of the new State party officers at the Kaduna Trade Fair Center on Friday.

The State returning officer, Bar. Tanko Beiji, who announced the result on Saturday morning, said Danjuma Sarki got 458 votes while Edward Masha won with a total vote of 2,123 to replace Felix Hassan Hyat, who will be bowed out after serving the mandatory two terms in office.

“Women Leader Godiya Lolo emerged with 2,102 votes while Angela Adamu trailed behind with 300 votes.

“Office of the Legal Adviser, Bar. Khalid A. Khalid scored 2,447 votes, while Aliyu Suleiman Jatau lost with 14 votes.

“Vice Chairman Central, Garba Ahmed Usman Garkuwa, became the Vice Chairman having scored 2,299 votes while Dr. Abdulrahaman Usman got 20 votes.
