Italy granted over 10,000 visas to Nigerians in 2023 – Envoy

The ambassador said his job in Nigeria was not to create hindrances for Nigerians to travel to Italy but to make moving to Italy easier for people.

He said the Italian embassy had continued to do all within its powers to make the issuance of visas stress-free for willing Nigerians.

The consul-general added that efforts were in top gear to ensure visas are secured within two weeks from the day of application.

“My job here in the country is not to hinder Nigerians from travelling to Italy, but rather to help them simplify the process so that they will be able to travel in accordance with their desire.

“We are also doing everything possible to ensure that we can help Nigerians secure their visas in two weeks. Just like the year 2023, over 10,000 Nigerians got our visa and travelled to Italy,” Boni stated.
