I'll not take a honeymoon, my gov't will get to work immediately

The flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, has pledged to hit the ground running with a focus on job creation and economic reform if elected as President in the upcoming general elections.

According to him, his government would forgo any honeymoon period but start work immediately upon taking office.

He said this at a media engagement on Sunday, August 25.

When asked what he’d do in the first 100 days in office, he replied, “I will definitely not be on a honeymoon. My government will go straight to work, and for me, my focus is on jobs.”

He further outlined a series of immediate actions, including preparing a budget as quickly as possible to implement key economic policies.
