Ikeja Disco gets more Band A feeders

In a statement made available to our correspondent, the IKEDC Head of Corporate Communication, Kingsley Okotie, said the approval of the 23 feeders followed NERC’s review of Disco’s ability to deliver 20 hours of electricity daily.

Band A customers are premium customers who have been exempted from government electricity subsidies.

Since April, those on Band A have paid over N200 per kilowatt-hour instead of N68. They are to enjoy a minimum of N20 hours of electricity every day.

Meanwhile, the IKEDC has warned customers to remove unauthorised assets on its poles across the six business units.

The Disco said there were flagrant violations and disregard for safety around its electricity poles by individuals and some corporate organisations, for private and commercial use.
