He said, “There are details you’ve already heard—I haven’t been receiving royalties or any revenue from my songs. Even when I released the song under N-Tyze, I wasn’t paid any revenue or royalty. People expect that I should be making a lot of money from my songs, but it’s not what people think. The thing has really eaten me up. People play my songs and love me for them, but I’m not getting a dime from the revenue, and it hurts.”

Reflecting on the industry’s darker side, Humblesmith said, “It’s not everything one will say online, but we pray that whatever challenges we face, all glory goes to God. I have seen things in this industry and I understand there are no friends out there. It looks like this industry is governed by a particular circle. It got to a level where it felt like nobody in the industry wanted to listen to me or help me. That means they’ve heard things from some people, and they blackball one.”
