Group to train 500,000 creatives

A statement by the firm said the app, positioned to become Nigeria’s largest creative mentorship initiative, would target 50,000 participants in its first year.

“This announcement follows the success of the Lens For Good Storyteller’s Conference, held on August 28, 2024, at the Landmark Events Center, Lagos. The event engaged over 160,000 creatives both virtually and in person, featuring high-profile speakers such as TY Bello, Tolani Alli, and Salem King. The conference highlighted the critical role of storytellers in nation-building, urging creatives to reshape Nigeria’s narrative through their art,” it read.

Founder, Lens For Good and Special Assistant to the President on Visual Communications, Nosa Asemota, talked about the importance of the initiative, stating, “We aim to empower Nigerian creatives to tell powerful, authentic stories that will resonate around the world. The launch of the mentorship app is a significant step in achieving that mission.”
