Green Lotto tasks govt on community football devt

According to him, football stakeholders and community football programs have the potential to transform lives and communities, but they require adequate funding and resources to thrive.

He said, “Community football is the lifeblood of our sport. It’s where talented players are discovered, and where the love of the game is nurtured. We need the government to invest in community football infrastructure, training programs, and leagues to help our young people reach their full potential.”

The football tournament came to a thrilling conclusion last Saturday, after a month-long competition that showcased the skills and sportsmanship of 22 teams at New City Primary School, Palm Avenue, Mushin, Lagos.

Ikole FC emerged victorious, taking home the coveted first prize of N200,000, while Olasehinde FC and Oshifuye secured second and third places, respectively, with cash prizes of N150,000 and N100,000.

“Football is a sport that brings excitement and fun. We are thrilled to have sponsored this tournament again this year and to contribute to the well-being of youth in Mushin. Congratulations to all the winners and participants on a game well played,” Saviour said.
