Ghana to host Strategic ESG and Sustainability Impact Summit

The Strategic ESG and Sustainability Impact Summit 2024 (SESI 24) will convene leading business executives, policymakers, industry experts, and sustainability practitioners from November 13–14, 2024, at the Labadi Beach Hotel to chart a path towards a net zero economy.

Organized in collaboration with the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Ghana, SESI 24 is set to become a pivotal platform for fostering dialogue on the urgent need for businesses to align their strategies with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards in response to the global climate crisis.

Under the theme "Towards a Net Zero Future for Businesses," SESI 24 will foster collaboration, drive innovation, inform policy, and inspire action among key stakeholders.

Professor Douglas Boateng, one of the world’s most respected experts in sustainable development and supply chain governance, will chair SESI 24. As a thought leader and sustainability advocate, Professor Boateng has been instrumental in advancing ESG practices across Africa and globally.

Commenting on his role, Professor Boateng said, “The time for businesses to act is now. A net-zero future is not just a regulatory obligation—it is a moral and strategic imperative. The future of African businesses and economies hinges on how we respond to the sustainability challenge. This summit is about unlocking solutions that make environmental stewardship a central component of business success.”
