GFA opens capacity building course for 80 female DOL club administrators

Accra, Sept. 13, GNA – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has begun a three-day capacity building course for female Division One League (DOL) Administrators at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, Prampram.

The training, under the guidance of world football body, FIFA seeks to enhance leadership, strategic planning, communication, and marketing skills in Women’s football.

It also formed part of GFA’s efforts to develop women’s football at the grassroots level, under its four-year development pathway for Women’s football across the country.

Madam Thubaelihle Bridgette Sibanda, FIFA Technical Expert speaking in an interview with the GNA Sports said the workshop was part of the long list of strategies lined up to empower administrators to build the business side of football.

She said Africa had quality players to compete at top level football but lacked the fundamentals in making the dream possible.
