Foundation to empower underserved communities

According to a statement, the foundation would be run by a board of trustees to empower individuals and underserved communities through strategic partnerships, mentorship programmes, and grassroots initiatives.

The foundation board of trustees comprises 11 family members, experts, and thought leaders across various industries in Nigeria, including Ohis Ohiwerei, Zafirah Mudasiru, Olusola Mudasiru, Damilola Ajayi, Wale Agbeyangi, Dr Ladi Bada, AVM Lawal Alao (Rtd.), Yemi Fagbenro, Tokunboh George-Taylor, Yemisi Deji-Bejide, and Chuka Eseka.

The Chairman of the foundation’s Board of Trustees, Ohis Ohiwerei, said the goal of the foundation was to build on the late investment banker’s legacy by providing the tools and resources necessary for Nigerians to excel in education, entrepreneurship, and the arts.

“We believe that through these efforts, we can create a ripple effect that will transform communities and drive sustainable development across the nation,” the BoT chairman stated.

The secretary of the board, Damilola Ajayi, added that the foundation was confident that by supporting education, entrepreneurship, and the arts, it could unlock the immense potential within communities and propel Nigeria towards a brighter future.
