FG to raise digital infrastructure investments

An e-copy of the minister’s address was obtained from the ministry’s website on Monday.

According to Tijani, this initiative is aimed at integrating various digital services to support citizens through critical life events.

He outlined the government’s plans to leverage the country’s robust digital ID system, supported by the European Union and the World Bank, to foster transparency and reliability in public services.

He noted that Nigeria’s digital ID system, which had registered over 90 per cent of adults, provided a unique opportunity to implement a comprehensive, government-wide approach to technology.

According to Tijani, a key component of this strategy is the establishment of a National DPI Centre, which will spearhead the development and deployment of a data exchange system.
