Ejura-Sekyedumase: IPDC charged to promote peaceful environment for election 2024

Ejura (Ash), Sept. 18, GNA-Members of the newly inaugurated Inter-Party Dialogue Committee (IPDC) for Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipality, have been charged to promote a peaceful environment in the municipality ahead of the 2024 election.

They should set the tone for peaceful discussions among stakeholders by bringing them around the table for amicable resolution of issues that could potentially spark violence.

Mr. Dujing Jacob Japiong, the Municipal Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), who made the admonition, said maintaining peace ahead of the election was a collective responsibility of every citizen.

He was speaking at a ceremony to inaugurate the IPDC as part of mechanisms being implemented by the NCCE to ensure a violent-free election in December.

The IPDC, among other objectives, seeks to proactively resolve emerging issues within the political terrain before they degenerate into violence.
