Dr Bawumia tours Agona West, East and Gomoa Central to canvass for votes

Nyakrom (C/R), Sept. 22, GNA – Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has toured Agona East, West and Gomoa Central constituencies, to solicit for votes in the upcoming Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

Addressing the chiefs and people of Nsaba in the Agona East constituency, Dr Bawumia said the former president failed to live up to expectations and Ghanaians voted him out of power.

He called on people of Agona East to vote massively for him as President and Madam Hannah Asamoah as MP, to continue their good policies and programmes, adding that the NPP government had rolled out Agenda 111 hospitals and constructed new courts in over 100 districts nationwide to bring judicial delivery services to the doorstep of the people.

The Vice President, said through digitalisation, the government had eliminated ghost workers from payrolls that had saved the nation thousands of Cedis from SSNIT and other government institutions.

Dr Bawumia said if Ghanaians voted for him as President, he would change the current chieftaincy Act to bring chiefs closer to government and would also pay living allowances to Paramount and Divisional chiefs and Queen mothers.
