Doma, Gombe United urged to bounce back from relegation

Yarma made disclosed this on Saturday during an award ceremony held to celebrate sportsmen and women who distinguished themselves in the 2023/2023 season.

He said, “I’m a football person. I know relegation, losing, and winning are all parts of the game and there is nothing new in it but we can only encourage them to bounce back.

“I’m sure they will bounce back. Gombe United have been relegated about twice, and this is the third time, and I’m not afraid that Gombe United will be able to come back. Doma is privately driven, someone who has a passion for football; that is why he is spending a lot of money.

“We have to encourage them to see they return to the elite league at the end of the season. If we extend support to them by going to the stadium to cheer them, the government will extend a hand of fellowship to them, and they will be able to come back.”

Our correspondent reports that 13-year-old Munyal Kwairanga, who won three gold medals at the just concluded National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, was honoured.
