'December in GH' is one of Akufo-Addo’s significant legacies

The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Akwasi Agyeman, has highlighted the "December in GH" initiative as one of President Akufo-Addo's most significant legacies.

The programme, which has transformed Ghana into a prime destination for holidaymakers and tourists during the festive season, is credited with boosting the country's tourism industry and enhancing its global reputation.

In a recent interview on the Patriotic Spaces on Wednesday, August 28, Mr Agyeman emphasised that the "December in GH" initiative has played a pivotal role in positioning Ghana as a cultural and entertainment hub in Africa.

He noted that the programme, which includes a series of events, festivals, and concerts, has not only attracted thousands of tourists from across the world but has also provided a platform for showcasing Ghana's rich cultural heritage.
