A statement on Wednesday listed the speakers as the President of Liberia, Joseph Boakai; the President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote; former Deputy Governor of the South African Reserve Bank, Kuben Naidoo; the President & CEO of Africa Finance Corporation, Samaila Zubairu, and other dignitaries.

It was noted that this year’s edition aimed to explore how African nations can leverage their unique strengths, navigate global uncertainties, tackle the climate crisis, and drive sustainable and inclusive growth.

“The summit’s focus is timely, as Africa continues to garner global attention with its burgeoning tech sectors, youthful population, and dynamic markets.

It added that the event would cover a range of topics, including geopolitics, finance and investment, industrialisation, technology startups, the energy transition, decarbonisation, and sustainability.

The FT Africa Editor, David Pilling, highlighted the significance of the event, stating, “Now in its 11th year, the FT Africa Summit has become one of the most important international forums for discussing the continent’s business, economic, and geopolitical landscape. This year’s expanded two-day summit promises unparalleled intellectual engagement and deeper exploration of key issues, creating a vibrant forum for policy innovation, networking, and actionable dialogue.”
