CPP rejects Akufo-Addo's Founders Day claim

The Convention People's Party (CPP) is not pleased with the recent utterances by President Akufo-Addo during his address to the nation to mark Founders' Day celebrations.

On August 3, President Akufo-Addo said he rejected the notion that the country was founded by one man.

According to him, the fight for Ghana’s independence was a collective effort and should not be credited to one individual.

These comments have not been taken lightly by Dr Kwame Nkrumah’s party.
