The Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Omane Boamah, has raised concerns about the theft of Biometric Voter Registration (BVR) belonging to the Electoral Commission (EC).
Dr. Boamah questioned whether the missing BVD kits were part of a broader criminal enterprise.
This development follows the theft of the EC's BVD kits, which sparked widespread concern about election security.
The police have arrested a suspect found in possession of one of the stolen BVD kits.
Speaking during a meeting with Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) and other stakeholders, he expressed suspicion about the timing of the theft, which happened under CCTV surveillance.
