Boniface on Chelsea radar

The Akure-born striker had a fantastic debut season in the German Bundesliga, contributing to 31 goal involvements in 39 games (21 goals and 10 assists). His outstanding performances helped Leverkusen secure the Bundesliga title and the German Cup and were close to winning the Europa League title but fell to the sword of compatriot Ademola Lookman, whose hat trick helped Atalanta beat the German side in the final.

Boniface has continued with his impressive form this season with four goals and one assist already in six games.

His impressive start to the 2024/25 campaign has seen talks of a potential move with the player said to be on Chelsea’s radar.

“Chelsea have scouted Victor Boniface in recent weeks as they track his progress at Bayer Leverkusen,” Transfer News Live.

Last Thursday, according to TBR football’s Graeme Bailey, EPL trio Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspurs and Newcastle had their scouts in attendance during the UEFA Champions League between Atalanta and Arsenal last Thursday to watch former Everton player, Ademola Lookman, ahead of a potential move next summer.
