Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia being decorated as Ntentankesehene
The Vice President and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has been honoured by the chief of Nsawam, Nana Kwamena Ansah I, for his impactful contributions to the digital growth of the country.
Welcoming Dr. Bawumia to his palace on Friday during the NPP flagbearer's campaign tour of the Nsawam Adoagyiri constituency, Nana Kwamena Ansah also hailed Dr. Bawumia's digitalisation-focused vision for the country, saying it is the way to go.
"It is historic for Nsawam that Bawumia is here. He has shown that he knows tradition and, on behalf of the people, I am extremely happy to welcome him," said Nana Kwamena Ansah.
For his digital initiatives and new vision for Ghana, the chief of Nsawam conferred an honorary Chieftaincy title 'Ntentankesehene', meaning King of the Web, on Dr. Bawumia.
