Bawumia electronic buses enroute to Ghana, expected to cut down transportation costs by 40%

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia's initiative to introduce electronic buses to Ghana is set to revolutionisse the transportation sector and significantly reduce commuting costs.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, the new electronic buses, which are currently on their way to Ghana, are projected to cut down transportation expenses by as much as 40%.

The introduction of these electric buses aligns with the government's broader vision of promoting sustainable transport solutions while addressing the challenges of traffic congestion and pollution.

The NEIP CEO emphasised that the electronic buses will not only enhance the efficiency of public transportation but also contribute to a cleaner and greener environment in urban areas.
