Assin South roads to see massive transformation under DRIP – Ntim Fordjour

A Deputy Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Assin South in the Central Region, John Ntim Fordjour, commissioned the Assin South District Roads Improvement Program (DRIP) equipment on Tuesday 8th October at Assin Kyinso .

The DRIP programme, launched by the government aims to enhance feeder roads connecting villages and small communities. This initiative addresses road challenges deemed a national security concern.

According to Ntim Fordjour, the programme will utilize equipment such as water tankers, backhoes, motor graders, rollers, tipper trucks, bulldozers, and concrete mixers. All communities in the Assin South will benefit from the project.

“There are some major routes that have already undergone bitumen surfacing and sealing, including the roads from Assin Andoe to Homaho to Edubiase and from Assin Manso to Okyeso to Hasowodze.”

“Additionally, several roads are undergoing bitumen surfacing. However, beyond that, numerous feeder routes connecting villages and small communities still require attention and reshaping.”
