Ampatano M/A Basic School appeals for classroom blocks

Takoradi, Oct. 07, GNA – Ampatano M/A Basic School, in the Ahanta West Municipality of the Western Region, has appealed to authorities for new classroom blocks, to ensure conducive teaching and learning environment for pupils.

Mr Francis Ackah, the Headmaster, said the school lacked adequate classroom blocks to facilitate smooth teaching and learning processes for improved educational outcomes.

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview, Mr Ackah said “We have about 208 pupils, but we do not have the infrastructure to accommodate all of them during instructional hours.

“Currently, we only have a Kindergarten block which is not even in good shape, while the rest of the students study in church buildings around our school”.

Mr Ackah said academic activities came to a halt during adverse weather conditions, a situation which negatively impacted the performance of the students.
