Akufo-Addo's government lacks humility to accept wise counsel

The 2024 flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has emphasised the urgent need for leadership in Ghana that is compassionate, truthful, and accountable.

He said the current government, under President Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Bawumia, has subjected Ghanaians to severe hardship while ignoring wise counsel that could help alleviate the nation's challenges.

Speaking at an event titled 'Mahama Fellowships with the Clergy' in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, Mr Mahama outlined the numerous difficulties the Akufo-Addo administration has imposed on citizens.

He noted that despite several calls for guidance, the government remains unwilling to accept advice that could mitigate the current challenges.

The former President argued that his experience would enable him to navigate the country through its current economic struggles if elected in the upcoming elections.
