Akatsi (VR), Aug.16, GNA – Residents and supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Akatsi South in the Volta Region have expressed a rousing welcome to Mr John Dramani Mahama, the Party’s 2024 flagbearer.

This was after thousands of supporters converged at the Akatsi RC Park on Thursday in anticipation for several hours before the arrival of the NDC leader and his campaign team around 2100 hours.

Earlier, Lawyer Bernard Ahiafor, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Akatsi South and the Parliamentary aspirant of the party in a welcome address, said the NDC as a party must return to power to reset the country.

“All the NDC initiated projects within the constituency have stalled. The health projects, education, roads, and others have been abandoned by this government.”

He said for the projects to see the light of day, the good people of Akatsi South must bring John Dramani Mahama back to bring progress to the area.
