After being nominated for the league award last Wednesday, Ajibade made an emphatic statement by adding a hat-trick to her haul for the month against Madrid CFF.
The 24-year-old was initially adjudged to have scored only one during the game, but two other presumed own goals have been confirmed by the Liga F.
“What a start! Rasheedat Ajibade has scored five goals and two assists,” the league body posted via their X account on Tuesday.
Spanish football news outfit Futbol Mahou has also nominated her and four of her teammates for the club’s top performer award for September.
An announcement of the winners of both awards is expected before their next match against Athletic Club on Saturday.
