Agona Duakwahene calls for violence free elections

Duakwa (C/R), Sept. 18, GNA – Ghanaians, particularly the youth have been urged to desist from violence, chaos, and intimidation likely to mar the beauty of the upcoming general elections.

The Krontihene of Agona Nyakrom Traditional Area, Nana Kojo Amoakwa V, who made the call, said this year’s election was very crucial to the future of the people of Ghana.

It must, therefore, be peaceful, credible, and fair and not generate war, as seen in other countries.

Nana Amoakwa, who is also the Duakwahene, was addressing a durbar of chiefs and people of Duakwa to climax their 2024 Annual Akwambo festival at Duakwa in the Agona East District of the Central region.

The week-long festival was under the theme; “Akwambo Festival; A tool for development, through unity and peace in Duakwa and Ghana.”
