African startups eye Middle East market

In a statement, Ubido emphasised that one of the ways Techinnovate was building strategic connections between Africa and the Middle East, a move he said was unlocking new opportunities for growth.

He noted that Techinnovate’s role as a key partner in 24 Fintech, a prominent event hosted by the Saudi Central Bank, Fintech Saudi, and other major organisations, was pivotal for African startups looking to expand.

“This event provides African startups with the chance to showcase their innovations, engage with investors, and form critical partnerships within the Middle East.

“By creating opportunities for African startups, 24 Fintech has become an important platform focusing on digital innovation and financial inclusion,” Ubido said.

Several African startups participated in the event, including Sudo Africa, Interface Africa, Stecs, and ALAT by Wema, where they presented cutting-edge solutions in digital payments and banking.
