At the media briefing to herald the fourth edition of the event, the organisers announced that the convention is expected to feature a game jam with Afric: game development talents building exciting and interactive video games; an Ark pitch where gai studio founders and indie developers are provided with the platform to pitch their projects for an opportunity to receive prototype grants; an industry showcase designated for the exhibition of tons of creative outputs; the tour of Lagos city for an interlude view of several delightful locations; panel sessions to imbue experts and participants in an interactive discovery conversation; and a gaming EXPO.

Speaking at the event, Africacomicade’s co-founder, Micheal Oscar, spoke about this year’s edition saying, “Last year, we did about $30,000 for the Ark Pitch. This year, there is going to be a cumulative of about $50,000 for game studios that would be pitching.
“We have about 20 delegates from outside Nigeria. This is a huge opportunity for them to come together, discuss, connect and chart a path for their future.
“Then for the game jam as well, there would be cash prizes for them like up to $2000 and we have brands like LG and Itel who would be supporting these brands with their devices.”
