It was a tricky first half for Hugo Broos and his troops, but they remained calm and eventually got going as Bafana Bafana led 2-1 against South Sudan at Juba Stadium.
A foul from Ngezana resulted in an Okello penalty, which saw South Sudan take the lead before Appollis hit back two minutes later.
There was an obvious handball shout that the referee did not award the away side; then the ball hit the upright and then the post as Appollis eventually completed his brace.
Second half will prove to be feisty as the hostile environment slowly increases as the time passes.
