Adarabioyo reserves Nigeria, England decision

Born in England to Nigerian parents, Adarabioyo has played at various youth levels for England but is yet to represent the Three Lions after featuring for the U19 team nine years ago.

Adarabioyo is among several Nigerian-eligible players at Chelsea, alongside Noni Madueke, Carney Chukwuemeka, Lesley Ugochukwu, and Tyrique George.

“LondonWorld approached Tosin Aderabioyo’s camp to see if he’d made up his mind on where he’d play his international football, and they said a decision had not been made yet,” the website wrote.

This assertion came after the Adarabioyo rejected Nigeria on two occasions. He held talks with former Eagles coach Jose Peseiro in London before this year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast, but the Portuguese tactician couldn’t convince the then-Fulham man to play for Nigeria, who finished second in the tournament.

Efforts to convince him to dump England for Nigeria have seen NFF Technical Director Austin Eguavoen attend a match at Craven Cottage in December 2022 to talk to the defender.
