ActionSA to join ANC, EFF and ACDP to oust Tshwane Mayor Cilliers Brink

The party said it has been given a mandate to exit the coalition with the DA, which is currently in power in the capital city.

Brink said the coalition was given no notice that ActionSA would be leaving and viewed it as a betrayal.

ActionSA in Tshwane has announced it will be joining the ANC, EFF and ACDP to vote out Mayor Cilliers Brink and, by extension, the DA-led multiparty coalition.

The four parties held an impromptu press briefing outside Tshwane House on Thursday afternoon, where the announcement was made.

Tshwane ANC regional secretary George Matjila said the parties held a meeting and agreed to vote in favour of removing Brink through a motion of no confidence. He said smaller parties in council would also vote with them.
