2024 Elections: Churches urged to preach, pray for peace ahead of elections

Accra, Aug. 22, GNA – The Reverend Frederick B. Dadson, Assistant Leader of the Ghana Evangelical Society, has urged churches and Christians to preach and pray for peace before, during and after the 2024 elections.

“According to the Lord, people have wielded weapons of destruction against the nation. The Lord warns that the Church and therefore the people of Ghana should not take this lightly.

“The urgent call now is for the Church in the land to arise and be vigilant, standing within the gates and upon the walls of our nation,” he said.

Rev. Dadson said this during a press briefing organised by the Society to inform the public on the decree of the Lord to the nation ahead of the 2024 elections.

The address was premised on the theme: “No weapon formed against Ghana shall prosper. Let Ghana be still and know that God is God. He reigns and rules in the affairs of the nation.”
