The Annual Peace Lecture and Award Ceremony of the Apostles of Peace International, titled, ‘Peace in Nigeria,’ was held in Lagos.
She suggested that religion, often a source of conflict, must instead be a catalyst for peace through interfaith dialogue.
Ogunsola said, “Peace is a mindset. We must learn to be humble. We should watch our anger. Love is obedience. It hopes for the best in others.”
She added that through advocacy for justice and fairness by speaking out against corruption, inequality, and human rights abuses, were ways to solve disputes and conflicts around the country.
She advised the church to “Advocate for policies and practices that promote justice and fairness, addressing some of the root causes of conflict.
